As a journal geek, I freaked out when I saw that Chevelle now had a journal. It's 5 x 7 and has a sturdy cover that is made of a material that can be cleaned with a damp cloth. The image is durable and has a slight sheen. There is an attached ribbon bookmark and elastic band closure. The individual signatures are sewn and bound together with glue. It lays flat. The pages are white and lined. I did a test with every type of pen I own and, while none of them bled through, all of them had some shadowing on the opposite side. Not a big deal to me, but I know that bothers some people. I love this journal. I intend to use it as a Chevelle smashbook for tickets, photos, and lyric art journaling. Also, I have to brag that Pete signed mine after a show.
